Professional Recognition

The Alabama School Counselor Association and affiliated organizations believe in the importance of acknowledging current efforts at improving school counseling in our state. There are various ways in which a school counselor can excel at their programming and in their school community. Below are a few of the ways in which ALSCA and other organizations seek to recognize and award those efforts:

Annual Awards

ALSCA & ALCA both have various awards given out annually at many different administrative levels. As an organization, we encourage members from all over our state to submit nominations for our annual awards. Find out more about annual awards.

Recognition of Accountability, Verification, and Excellence (RAVE)

The RAVE is a continuous improvement document that gives a school counseling program an opportunity to demonstrate effective communication and a commitment to implementing an outcome-based, data-driven program. Find out more about the RAVE Award.
